Who we are
Rooted & Built Co. is a home improvement and general contracting business owned by Joseph Stewart, serving Collin and Denton Counties, Texas. You can reach us at 469-234-4415 or quotes@rootedbuilt.co.
Our services
These terms apply to the work we perform: bath and kitchen remodeling, carpentry, custom shelving and closets, flooring, and painting, along with related repairs and improvements. By requesting a quote or accepting an estimate, you agree to these terms.
Quotes and estimates
Estimates are based on the information available at the time — the scope you describe, the walkthrough, and site conditions. We will confirm the final scope and price in a written proposal before any work begins. Changes to the agreed scope must be approved in writing by both parties and may adjust the price and timeline.
Scheduling and access
We will agree on start dates and working hours with you. You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area, including for materials and crew. Delays outside our control (weather, hidden conditions, material availability, changes requested mid-job) may shift the schedule, and we will keep you informed.
Payments
Payment terms are stated in your written proposal or contract. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, deposits and progress payments are due as scheduled, and final payment is due upon completion. Work may pause if scheduled payments are not received.
Warranty
We stand behind our workmanship and will correct defects in work we performed, reported within one year of completion, at no charge. This does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by others, misuse, or products and materials warrantied by their manufacturers.
Text messages
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages from us about your project — appointment reminders, scheduling, estimates, invoices, and job updates — at the number you provide. Message rates from your carrier may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the work that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Cancellation
You may cancel a scheduled job at any time before work begins. If work has started, you will be charged for work performed and materials already ordered on your behalf.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Changes
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page.
